Factory of the Dead - Covid-19 Preparedness

Factory of the Dead is committed to the health and safety or our guests, employees, and the creatures in our care. We'll be taking extra advice from state and local health officials, outside consultants and attraction industry leaders to enhance our already strict health, safety and cleanliness standards. These protocols and guidelines will be modified based on evolving industry standards and methodologies, public health and governmental directives, and advancing scientific knowledge on the transmissibility of COVID-19.

STAFF & GUEST TEMPERATURE SCREENING

When guests and staff arrive, they must undergo and pass a temperature screening using the CDC temperature recommendation of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

CLEANING & SANITATION

To protect the health and safety of our guests and staff, we will significantly increase both the frequency of cleaning for all key areas (including staff spaces) and the number of hand sanitation stations across the attraction, especially in high-contact areas.

FACE COVERINGS

Face coverings will be required for guests and staff in all areas of Factory of the Dead. Masks must cover the nose and mouth.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

To promote proper physical distancing throughout the attraction, we have installed signage and markings throughout our guest and staff areas to identify eight-foot physical distancing.

WORK & SICK POLICIES

We will require our staff to stay home if they are feeling sick. We will also require our staff to follow the most current CDC guidance for self-isolation and symptom-free periods before returning to work.

COVID-19 TRAINING

Our staff will receive COVID-19 specific training to cover all new enhanced park operating procedures. The training will include the most current guidance from the CDC and other health advisors.

EXTRA PRECAUTIONS

Check-in & Waiting areas have been modified to maintain physical distancing. We will only be providing online ticketing to purchase tickets this year. Plexi-glass has been installed in high traffic and close-contact areas to maintain a physical barriers.

SPECIFIC ENHANCEMENTS TO KEY OPERATIONAL AREAS

CHECK-IN & VIRTUAL QUEUE

Enhanced cleaning protocols are being implemented in all areas and especially for high-contact surfaces. Spacing will also be increased for our Metal Detectors and Temperature Stations to enabling appropriate physical distancing. We will have No Indoor or Long lines at Factory of the Dead this year. Our outdoor queue line is managed through our Virtual Queue line system called HauntQue.com. Customers can wait in the safety of their cars or visit a local restaurant or bar until their turn to enter is announced thru our text message system.

ACTOR SCARES AND INTERACTIONS

Depending on the ability to promote physical distancing for guests and staff, certain components of Factory of the Dead, such as those involving guest interactions and photo opportunities will be modified or removed.

OUTDOOR QUEUE LINE

Our Outdoor Queue Line will have markings for physical distancing and signage directing guests to the entrance and exits of the attraction. Bagging and wrapping materials will be given to customers to minimize contact of items at our oncessions area.

PUBLIC SPACES

Group Distancing in the attraction and especially in high-contact areas and enhanced cleaning protocols will be implemented. This includes an increased number of hand sanitizer stations, areas with single-direction guest flow, modified group sizes to maintain physical distancing and cleaning according to enhanced protocols. Port-a-potie lines will also be modified to maintain physical distancing and extra cleaning schedules added.

EMPLOYEE FACILITIES

We have added signage regarding health and safety, increased hand sanitizer stations and increased the frequency of cleaning in staff areas. The same enhanced safety standards for guest areas will be applied in employee private areas as well.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR VISIT

We are excited to continue to provide our guests with fun, entertaining and memorable experiences, while addressing important health and safety needs during this time.

Factory of the Dead Haunted Attraction will limit the amount of groups that will be allowed to visit our attraction this year in order for groups to maintain proper social distancing. Below are the instructions to visit Factory of the Dead 2020.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME

  • STEP 1: Figure out How Many People will be in your group!
    • Up to 4 people per group enter the haunted house at a time.
    • Groups of 20+ will get $5 off per ticket at check out
      • Tickets must be bought at same time to get discount.
  • STEP 2: Select 1 Person for each group!
    • Pick one person in your group that will register your group into the VIRTUAL Queue line.
    • Only one person per group of 4 will need to reserve the groups spot in line.
    • DO NOT HAVE MORE THEN ONE PERSON IN YOUR GROUP RESERVE A SPOT IN LINE
    • You can pre-book for a certain time and day before the event day -or- join the virtual queue line if you're coming the same day. You will receive a conformation text after your group is registered.
  • STEP 3: How To Register Your Group!
    • The person registering the group will go to FactoryOfTheDead.com and click “Register Group & Buy Tickets” follow instructions to register the time and day you are visiting Factory of the Dead then continue on to purchase tickets.
    • If you are just buying tickets (SOMEONE ELSE IS REGISTERING YOUR GROUP) you will go to FactoryOfTheDead.com and click “Buy Tickets Only” follow instructions to purchase tickets.
  • STEP 4: Getting Your Tickets!
    • Your ticket will be sent to you thru email or can be printed at the time of purchase, if you do not receive your ticket do not worry, you can go back to the site and click on find my ticket and follow instructions. Or simply Show up at Factory of the Dead and we call pull up your ticket by last name, (please make sure you did get a confirmation of purchase.

THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT

  1. The day of the event you will receive a text message that you will need to respond to. This will be a quick Pre-entry heath assessment questioner. You will only have to answer once for your entire group.
  2. You are allowed to bring the following: Your Mobile Phone, A Face Covering For Each Guest (we will have some for sale). Please Do Not Bring Bags (including purses), Bottles, any liquids, Weapons of any kind and any tobacco or smoking devices.
  3. Sanitize Your Hands as you enter the attraction, please make sure you wash your hands before coming
  4. Avoid Touching Anything in the attraction, including props, set displays and actors
  5. Wear your face covering at all times. Masks that do not protect your nose and mouth are not allowed. Your nose must be covered at all times in the attraction.
  6. Follow Posted Guidelines and instructions from staff. Your safety is our top priority
  7. Maintain A Social Distance of at least 6ft between each group as you are in line, once in the attraction no Stopping or Running.
  8. There will be ZERO TOLERANCE at the attraction. If somebody in your group does not follow directions, your entire group will be asked to leave without a refund. This is for the safety of our staff and our guests. No Exceptions!

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19?

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported – from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills with Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19. If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:

    • Trouble breathing
    • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
    • New confusion
    • Inability to wake or stay awake
    • Bluish lips or face

Call your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
