Auditions are held at Factory of the Dead Haunted House located at 906 Lapeer Ave. in Downtown Saginaw, MI just blocks from the DOW Event Center.
No, you only need to attend one of the scheduled Audition times. In the event that you are not able to make any of the dates, we may be able to make other arrangements. This is a very busy time for us and our time is limited.
We ask that you be at least 18 years of age to be an actor at Factory of the Dead.
If you will be 16-17 during the Haunted House season, we do require that you have a parent or legal guardian sign your paperwork for approval. Minors are not always guaranteed to be cast in the show.
Under special circumstances, If you are 15 you are able to act at Factory of the Dead with your Parent or Legal Guardian. We have a few parents that participate with their children and have a lot of fun.
For an audition at Factory of the Dead, you will need your Photo or School Identification and general contact information. Instructions will be given for later needs.
NOTE: If you are under the age of 18, you will need a parent or legal guardian's signature on the paperwork before you can take any training courses.
Auditions take about 25-35 minutes total. However, on audition days, you may be there longer to attend a short classe and a brief one-on-one interview prior to the audition.
We will explain the basic types of scares and then give you an opportunity to show us your best interpretation of them.
When it's time for the auditions, you’ll be taken back into the audition room to perform three basic types of scares.
You will then be informed when call backs will happen. When you are done, you are free to ask any questions and we will do our best to answer them.
All we ask is that you wear black or dark comfortable clothing.
We prefer that anyone auditioning come in plain clothes and without "haunted" makeup. We already have all the costumes that fit this years theme.
If you have a costume or character in mind, go ahead and bring it along to share.
NOTE: Please do not bring an any type of costume from a Halloween Store (spirit halloween, Halloween City) or any costume or mask from any horror movie.
To act at Factory of the Dead and get the full experience of our haunted house, we ask at least 5-7 days as an actor.
No prepared material is necessary. We will provide everything that you need for the audition.
Yes. We understand that acting or scaring may not be everyone's 'thing' but yet you would still like to be part of our Haunt family. Our Casting Director can offer you more information on this.
